October 16, 2015: Tybirus de Audibert Wins a World Championship and World Equestrian Brands Tack Matters Award at 2015 IFSHA

Burbank, CA (October 16, 2015)– Friesian owner Carolyn Audibert of Ranchita, California, recognizes that well-fitting, quality tack is key to winning World Championships. In fact, it was in her favorite top-quality tack that Audibert’s Friesian, Tybirus de Audibert, won the World Championship in Open Friesian Dressage Suitability at the International Friesian Show Horse Association’s (IFSHA) World and Grand National Championship Horse Show just this month. Audibert and Tybirus de Audibert also won the World Equestrian Brands Tack Matters Award at the 2015 IFSHA Championships, held at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center in Burbank, California.

World Equestrian Brands— the United States distributer of the top tack and equipment brands Equilibrium, E. A. Mattes, Vespucci, and Amerigo— rewards show competitors at prestigious horse shows across the country for using functional tack combined with an attractive presentation in the show ring. Audibert, who is the owner of Realm of the Raven Friesians, said, “We always love to have a really nice presentation. We make sure everything is in its spot and everything is cleaned. I just think it looks really nice.” The judges and show committee at the IFSHA Championships agreed, and chose Audibert’s stunning Friesian as the winner of the World Equestrian Brands Tack Matters Award.

This was the first horse show for Audibert’s eight-year-old Friesian stallion, who was ridden by her trainer, Laura Brown, in the competition. Audibert had only had Tybirus in professional training with Brown for around 35 days before IFSHA. In addition to winning Friesian Open Dressage Suitability World Championship, Tybirus and Brown also took third place in the competitive Open English Show Hack. Tybirus was sired by Audibert’s late foundation Friesian stallion, Gallahad. His full brother, the stallion Catastros de Audibert, who is owned by Brown, also showed successfully at the IFSHA Championships. The next show for the Realm of the Raven Friesians stallions will be at the Friesian World Cup at the South Point Equestrian Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, on October 29-31.

In addition to showing, Audibert said that Tybirus enjoys being ridden on the trail, and hopefully will one day participate in local parades. He may even join her husband, Michael, to perform in Medieval reenactments and joust with their other Friesians. “Tybirus is very, very versatile,” said Audibert.

Out of all her tack for Tybirus, Audibert feels that the most important piece of tack is the bridle. As winner of the World Equestrian Brands Tack Matters Award, Audibert and Tybirus were presented with a beautiful new leather Vespucci bridle. Audibert plans to use that bridle at Tybirus’ next horse show. “It fits him perfectly! It looks really nice on him,” she said.

World Equestrian Brands is a leading U.S. distributor of world-class, highperformance tack and products. Winners of the World Equestrian Brands Tack Matters Award are presented with an item from one of the popular brands World Equestrian Brands carries, as well as a commemorative neck ribbon.
