Horse Nose Net for Grackle Bridles to Help Relieve the Symptoms of Headshaking

The Net Relief Muzzle Net is one of the most effective products in controlling the symptoms of headshaking.  This simple horse nose net for Grackle bridles is unlike traditional horse nose nets that cover the whole muzzle; its contoured, shaped design covers only the top half of the muzzle and is shaped to fit the cross over the shape of the grackle noseband. Once in place, the nose net is unobtrusive, allows saliva to escape from the mouth freely, and does not interfere with the horse’s breathing.

The innovative Net Relief Muzzle Net was the first product we developed back in 2001 and is now available to fit Grackle Bridles. This simple horse nose net for Grackle Bridles continues to make a difference to horses’ lives, helping to alleviate the symptoms of headshaking.

Unlike traditional nets that cover the whole muzzle, the Net Relief Muzzle Net for Grackle Bridles features a shaped design that covers only the top half of the muzzle. Once fitted it is unobtrusive and allows saliva to escape from the mouth freely. It also does not interfere with the horse's breathing and can remain on the bridle at all times and places no restriction on the type of bit used.

Fully Adjustable and shaped to fit the crossover shape of Grackle Bridles, the Net Relief Muzzle Net for Grackle attaches to the noseband via hook and loop straps, which allows it to be adjusted up or down, and tailored to every horse. The Nets are easy to replace and refills are available in the pack.

The results of ‘Net Relief’ in Clinical Trials at De Montfort University in the UK were outstanding:

84% of respondents said Net Relief was easy to use.

FAQ's

Can I use the Muzzle Net for field turnout? The Muzzle Nets are made of a fine mesh and designed to be used for ridden work only. For sun protection in the field, we recommend the Field Relief Muzzle Protector.

Does the Muzzle Net Filter out pollen? No, it does not. It would be impossible to screen out pollen without greatly restricting the amount of air the horse can breathe. This makes Net Relief Muzzle Net suitable for use by competition horses who have to exert themselves in order to perform.

Will the Muzzle Net fit on all types of bridle nosebands? The Muzzle Net can be altered to fit various bridles – please contact us directly for alteration instructions.

How does the Muzzle Net work? The success of half nets suggests that they do not actively filter out pollens, the holes are just too big. They may work by distorting the airflow through the nose or distract/comfort the horse.
