Designed in the UK and based on the popular horse fly mask, the Field Relief Max, this standard donkey fly mask with ears is specially designed for our other equine friends.

The fit of the fly mask.

This fly mask covers the ears, eyes, and nose of your donkey. However, the nosepiece is removable and adjustable to suit your donkey's preferences.

The mask features adjustable fastenings under the cheeks which are elasticated. This ensures the perfect fit and stops any nasty insects from getting inside the mask.

Strategically placed darts on the front of the mask help keep it away from the face. Therefore, the mask stays clear of the donkey's eyes and eyelashes.

The soft sponge padding on the nose and brow areas helps to prevent rubbing.

The mesh of the donkey fly mask.

There are two types of mesh. One is rigid for the central panel to give it structure. The other is super soft for the rest of the mask to maximize comfort. The soft mesh is also elasticated not only for effectiveness and comfort but so it can fit a wide range of face shapes and sizes.

The mesh provides an effective barrier from midges, mosquitoes, and flies, but it also provides protection for over 70% of the sun’s rays.

The Story

Our company was founded from one product, the Net Relief Muzzle Net to provide relief to horses that headshake.

Naturally, the next step was to produce well-fitting fly masks so that horses can enjoy the field even in the height of summer when insects provide a nuisance.

The Field Relief range was designed to be as comfortable as possible as often fly masks are worn for large periods of the day, it also seemed fitting to ensure that the masks have UV protection as parts of the face are particularly susceptible to sunburn, even in darker horses.

The Max Fly mask covers the ears, eyes, and nose with the nose piece being removable and adjustable to suit your horse. The adjustable fastenings under the cheeks and behind the ears ensure the perfect fit and stop any nasty insects from getting inside the mask. There is soft sponge padding on the nose and brow areas as well as strategically placed darts to ensure that the masks sits well clear of the eyes, eyelashes, and face. The mesh provides an effective barrier from midges, mosquitoes, and flies as wells as up to 80% of the sun’s rays. The mesh is rigid for the central panel with a super soft net for the rest of the mask to provide further comfort.

By sourcing quality fabrics our Field Relief Fly Masks are durable, long-lasting, and carefully designed to fit Donkeys.

• Main mask fabric, including nose flap, is Textilene 80 = 80% PVC / 20% Polyester mesh (PVC coated polyester) designed to reduce heat transfer and solar glare. It’s fade-resistant and designed to block out 80% of the sun’s rays.
• The soft mesh used around the ears, cheeks, and jaw area is 100% polyester
