As fly masks are often worn for large periods of the day, the Midi Horse Fly Mask without ears is designed to be as comfortable as possible.

There are adjustable fastenings under the cheeks and behind the ears of the fly mask. This ensures the perfect fit and stops any nasty insects from getting inside the mask.

It features soft sponge padding located on the nose and brow areas. This means that these areas, which sit close to the horse's skin, are kept rub-free.

Lastly, the Midi Horse Fly Mask without ears features strategically placed darts. These darts are positioned on the front of the mask and keep it clear of the eyes and eyelashes.

UV protection rating.

It also seemed fitting to ensure that our Field Relief Fly Masks have UV protection. This not only protects the horse's eyes but also some parts of the face that can be particularly susceptible to sunburn. While most sunburn is seen in pink-skinned horses, it is still seen in darker horses.

The Story

As you may have read we started out with just one product, the Net Relief Muzzle Net to provide relief to horses that headshake. Naturally, the next step was to produce well-fitting fly masks so that horses can enjoy the field even in the height of summer when insects provide a nuisance.

The Field Relief range was designed to be as comfortable as possible as often fly masks are worn for large periods of the day, it also seemed fitting to ensure that the masks have UV protection as parts of the face are particularly susceptible to sunburn, even in darker horses.

The Midi Fly mask covers the eyes and face and is available with ear protection or without as there are certain horses that do not like the feel of a mask on their ears, The adjustable fastenings under the cheeks and behind the ears ensure the perfect fit and stop any nasty insects getting inside the mask. There is soft sponge padding on the nose and brow areas as well as strategically placed darts to ensure that the masks sits well clear of the eyes, eyelashes, and face. The mesh provides an effective barrier from midges, mosquitoes, and flies as wells as up to 70% of the sun’s rays.
